The findings of this project aim to provide evidence and insights for the identification of strategies for Vietnam’s agricultural sector and to promote low-emission rice production through circular economy innovation. These findings are expected to support evidence-based decision-making by government agencies, industry stakeholders, and development partners in advancing Vietnam’s green agricultural transition and net-zero commitments.

The project aims to accelerate ASEAN’s transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy by strengthening climate policy, institutional capacity, and regional cooperation. The project will support an updated synthesis of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and long-term strategies, identifying low-cost, high-impact mitigation opportunities across priority sectors underpinning policy recommendations and bolster Article 6 readiness, ensuring ASEAN Member States (AMS) and Timor-Leste are equipped to effectively participate in international carbon markets.
