Research Associate and Hub Research Coordinator

Hang specialises in macroeconomics, public economics, international economics, monetary policy, and industrial policy analysis, with a particular interest in macroeconometric modelling, global economic modelling, time-series analysis, causal inference, and the analysis of structural shocks.

Before joining the Hub for Vietnam Policy Studies, Hang was a Doctoral Student Associate and Research Assistant at the ANU Centre for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis (CAMA). She also has extensive teaching experience at ANU, having served as a lecturer for the Graduate Preparatory Mathematical Methods course (IDEC7902), as well as a tutor and head tutor for a range of economics and quantitative courses.

Hang worked for twelve years as an economist at the Foreign Exchange Management Department and the Monetary Policy Department of the State Bank of Vietnam. She holds a Master of International and Development Economics from the Australian National University and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking from the Foreign Trade University, Vietnam.
